Invisible Chips, a proactive idea, launched in July 2020 as the hospitality industry began to slowly come out of Lockdown 1.0. This fun campaign for the charity Hospitality Action, had a serious message and was endorsed by Fred Siriex, Heston Blumenthal, and Tom Kerridge alongside Brewdog who pledged to stock invisible chips in all their BrewDog bars and Draft House locations.
250 venues including the Hilton Hotel as well as Burger and Lobster, Hawksmoor, and Gaucho restaurants went on to ‘stock’ invisible chips. Invisible Chips were initially only available to buy online, but then, as restaurants, hotels, bars and pubs signed up for the scheme, they were sold in venues up and down the country.
